Suzuki XR51 Yoshimura / SERT repl. (GSXR Racing hump) / Fiberglass seat
Suzuki SERT / XR 51 repl. Hump as it was used in long distance and superbike racing in 1985.
Our XR51 repl. The hump is also suitable for the production models GSXR 750/1100 and, like the original, has an inwardly drawn all-round edge at the bottom.
Yoshimura only built seven XR51 copies for the official Suzuki racing teams which were used in Europe. In France the SERT (Suzuki Endurance Racing Team), in England the British Heron, in Sweden Team Anderson, and for Germany Suzuki Kurz.
The XR51 is the superbike and endurance racing version of the 1985 GSXR 750 and the later 1100 tern.
This incomparable success story of motorcycle construction emerged from the experience of the endurance races from 1983 with the XR41, when Suzuki started using aluminum frames in racing.
We are all the more pleased with this very rare hump as a repl. for the real racing fan and collector in our program.
